Kids Run & Waldo
How do you like this hot weather? :)
Last weekend I went to the Magazine Beach Pool both days, and ran into other families both times. That was a lot fun, as my kids played both with the friends' kid we went with, and classmates they ran into. The fact that the water can be cool even in 85 degree weather, my daughter didn't even notice. :)
Which brings me back to the topic I mentioned in last week's email, that it would be so nice to get folks together more often! This weekend for example, I'm thinking of checking out the Saturday morning Yoga at Magazine Beach and hopefully convince my kids to go for the Run & Ride this Sunday below. Would be great to have other families join us!
Most parents I talked to would like the same, but how is a another question. One mom suggested to me getting us all on Facebook, while another Whatsapp. A third suggested email or app, two more said no apps please (no space on phone, old phone). We probably all have our favorite. :)
Many of you also told me that you really like the newsletter saving you time figuring out what to do. As well as the school events. And a few of you suggested perhaps we should start there and sh then add impromptu events like "I'm at the park with the kiddos."
So, here goes below, the new "Interested". Please try it out and click away, remember it's showing interest and does not require commitment, which I know is hard with kids. :) Next, I'm thinking of e.g. a text group or app notifications if people really want to connect around an event. Bare with me as the design is early and a bit clunky, will get better. :) You can click through to the event to see who else expressed interest.
