Unity Playdate, Room Parents
Howdy,
First of all, we're organizing an All-Cambridge Unity Playdate, to celebrate our diverse community, and Christina our fearless leader at MLK Friends just nailed down the event details. It's on 4/29 at MLK. Please save the date and share the Facebook event with your friends! If you want to help organize it, talk to Katie. (I heard bake sale. ;-)
Also, the Chinese Summer Camp sign up has started! Hope to see some of you there. :)
This week I talked to a mom for feedback on the Yana app, specifically why she didn't use it. It was super helpful! I learned about some annoying interface issues that really needs to be fixed. Parents are busy, so small issues can be a big pain and barrier. If you have feedback, please reply to this email and let me know as well.
I'm particularly interested in talking to room parents and understand their issues spreading information throughout the class. So if you have a few minutes to chat about your experience as a room parent, let's set up a time! Of if you can introduce me to a room parent not yet on the app, I'd love the intro. :)
I also talked to the folks at FindIt Cambridge this week. (Thanks Nancy!) Check it out! It has a wealth of Cambridge-specific resources. I look forward to working with them.
Btw, since a few people are interested in Steve & Kate's Camp, they are having an info night next Tuesday (Boston) and Thursday (Cambridge).
