Thanksgiving | City Hall Skate | ZooLights | Diversity Convo
Howdy,
Happy Thanksgiving!
What I'm thankful this holiday is for you guys my loyal readers! Apparently my blog post last week on marriage hit a nerve, and I got more emails back than I've ever had. :) I plan to talk more about marriage with kids ... well maybe the holidays will give me a fresh supply of material. :)
I'm also thankful for our wonderful school community! MLK Friends led by Tien-Yi was able to raise $25k for our school! Other PTOs are already asking me how did we do it?? :)
For Thanksgiving our family usually go to our inlaws and fry a turkey. Yum! It's fast and delicious. Just make sure you drain the turkey and fry outside to avoid those fires you see on Youtube. ;-)
Seems like about half the families we talked to are staying around here... a number doing friendsGiving, so nice. :) And the other half traveling, mostly locally. I wish everyone safe trip!
If you're staying around, or having friends visiting, there's plenty of choices to do over the long weekend. We're thinking about checking out the Holiday Market & Skate Path at the city hall. Weather is not warm but not too bad either.
