LEGO Batman, RedSox in Park, & Chinatown August Moon
Howdy,
This week I've been doing more work on our School Directory. It's coming along nicely and hopefully can be unveiled next week. I've also started working on the next version of the Yana App, which will have school & community events, the school directory, in addition to the ability to ask questions of other parents.
My kids are finishing up the first of their summer camps this summer, and we'll move to a new one next week. How are you liking your kids' summer camps? I'd love to know. My son loved the King Kids Camp where they get to work on science & engineering projects and have fun swimming and going on fun field trips. My daughter enjoyed the Leslie Compass program where they get a bit more academics. Visiting the classroom yesterday, I saw the journal she's been writing in daily and the grass seed she's been growing.
Next week, my son will start Kids4Coding's Minecraft session. They still have space! And my friend's kid enjoyed the program, not easy for a 9 year old. :) So check them out if you need something last minute. I'd love to get them to come to Cambridge for the school year as well, as it's really a void when we have no kids program classes during the school year. And my daughter will be going to Morse, where hopefully she'll see friends from school.
Last but not least, our whole family enjoyed the BT4W's production of Les Mis with 14-18 year olds from our local schools (part of mayor's summer program). My son was humming the songs from the show afterwards and saying he'd like to see it again. And I'm impressed my daughter stayed up for 1.5 hours pass her bed time. :) They have a summer camp too, for kids 6 and up, good to know for next year.
Hope to see some of you at the Family Picnic at Dana tomorrow! :)
